Megan and Cody's Simple Farm Wedding with Camo and Rustic Charm

Posted by Camokix on Oct 6th 2015

Nothing could be more romantic, heartfelt, and sincere than having your wedding tailor-made to fit the kind of couple you are! And that's what Megan and Cody had. This beautiful wedding video will warm your heart and inspire you to go for what's in your blood!

The Wedding

On May 11th, 2013, Megan and Cody became one. It was a windy day, not the kind of weather you would want on your wedding day, especially when it's outdoors. But despite the wind and the light drizzle, it didn't stop this lovely couple from having their fairy tale wedding. Engel Farms was the perfect place for these two lovebirds to get hitched. It had a beautiful white barn with stairs and they said their I Do's on the top of those steps. The entourage stood on each step -- the bridesmaids were lined to the left and the groomsmen to the right. There were white string lights in the background.

Megan rode on a white horse carriage and was escorted by her father. She entered the door that lead to the beginning of her forever with Cody with her father beside her. As she entered and walked down the aisle, you could see tears of joy running down her cheeks. She could hardly contain the joy she felt in her heart.

The Wardrobe

The groom, his groomsmen, and the bearers wore a lot of camo! We love how they used camo vests, ties, and caps to show off the outdoorsmen in all of them. Cody had a special boutonniere made of a red bullet shell with tiny white flowers and burlap twine.

Megan wore a simple yet very elegant white wedding gown she put on her light blue cowgirl boots and cool denim jacket. The bridesmaids also wore their cowgirl boots, above-the-knee length dresses in white and cream colors, and they had their best denim jackets over their dress. The jackets were perfect, especially because the wind and rain made it a bit chilly.

Her one and only flower girl also wore a denim jacket over her beautiful white dress. And she had a tiara, just like a little country princess.

The Decorations

The bride's bouquet consisted of white wild flowers and light peach, blush, and white roses tied together with white lace. Her bridesmaids' bouquets were all little white wildflowers bunched together.

You'll see in the video that little white wildflowers were incorporated in almost all of the decorations. They were in the bouquets, boutonnieres, table arrangements, and more. They also used wooden signs to direct people and add a more rustic and laid back feel to the venue. The sign wrote: Heck "Yes I Do", Reception, Drinks, Dancing, Gents, Ladies. A light blue door in front of the barn had a cute reminder that said, "Just Breathe" This door frame was where the bride was to enter before she walked down the aisle. Below it had their names which were painted on a wooden sign. They also had hanging tree slabs around the ceremony area with inspiring quotes like "Love is Eternal".

Their two-layered white cake was decorated with little white flowers and dried vines. The guests tables had a cute flower arrangement small white flowers.
